Angel Orensanz Center
(This building [172 Norfolk St.] is the oldest synagogue in NYC, built in 1849,
originally named Anshe Chesed. It is now the artist Angel Orensanz’ studio, as
well as an arts and cultural center and museum. The early congregants practiced
German Reform Judaism.)
